This year has seen several staff changes in Land Research Associates to support an increasing range of projects and a growing turnover.
Amy Broster joined the company in February to look after the growing administrative burden.
Martin Worsley was appointed in June as a soil and land consultant. Martin, a forestry graduate from the University of Aberdeen, has already become expert with our MapInfo GIS software and is also being trained in soil survey and agricultural land classification.
Frank Heaven, who has worked for the company for more than 20 years as a senior soil scientist, decided to eventually hang up his soil auger at the end of July, although he will still be undertaking some work for the company as an LRA Associate. His departure was marked by a celebratory lunch and presentation crowned by Amy’s cake making and decorating skills (see image below).
The staffing of our sister company (LRA Labsoil – www.labsoil.com) that provides test systems for environmental fate studies was augmented by the appointment on 1st July of Jake Tetley to the role of supply manager.
